Good Faith Estimate for Private Pay
While it is difficult to estimate how long your journey with EMHC will be, we provide a Good Faith Estimate to help you understand, at a minimum, how much you could expect to spend while working with one of our providers. Expect to receive this around the 3rd session, when a plan for treatment will be developed. (Note: This refers only to private pay individuals.)
Understanding Online Therapy Insurance in Maryland
Understanding insurance coverage for online therapy can feel confusing. However, knowing your benefits beforehand can help you plan for treatment costs. Some clients use in-network benefits through Aetna or United/Optum, while others choose private-pay services. Additionally, certain plans may provide out-of-network reimbursement for mental health counseling.
Before your first appointment, we encourage you to verify your coverage, deductible, copay, and any authorization requirements. Our team can also answer questions about rates, insurance participation, and payment options. As a result, you can make informed decisions about beginning therapy and focus more fully on your mental health goals.
